knocking noise not bottom end

I finally got around to pulling the heads and cylinders of to find out that the upper ring on one of the cylinders had caught on the exhaust port and broke in three.so off to the machine shop i go to do both cylinders and fresh wiseco pistons, hope that takes care of it. what a shi*ty year, first my boat looses a cylinder then this. well atleast i got my boat done.

I had posted in your other thread that mine had a similar knock, removed the head and found one cylinder scared hevily and also the piston. Had the cylinders bored and popped in some new wiseco pistons and it seems like the knock is gone now. I will know better tomorrow after I test it in the lake. Wish me luck!

Looks like you guys Will at least get a couple more weeks of riding in this year on good running machines.
