uh...you did what star? Be sure the battery is getting a good connection on the battery post themselves and the ground wire to the engine by the starter is all good. The battery must be in real good shape too. If in doubt get it load tested at like Auto Zone or similar. The last thing is to give the DESS,(Digital Electronic Security System) a wash down with soap and water. Don't use anything on the post or lanyard cap after washing it. If it isn't communicating with the MPEM,(Multi Purpose Electronic Module) it isn't going to allow you to start.
Let us know if this helps., and keep us posted.

well let me giv u more info i test the battery is good star button works and the key post is ok. now what happen with the handle revers and nutral and farw that hav a sensor? and wors case can b the computer?

Well, if your asking if it matters if it is in gear...yes. It will beep 4 times. If you not getting any beeps it has to be an electrical problem...Check all the fuses if the battery is good. The battery is the most important item in the electrical. If it has even 1 bad cell under load it could be you problem. It has to have 12 volts to have a good connection to make the MPEM beep.
Double check the fuses...

well i know that about the gear but my ? is if there is a sensor in there to make the start going bing in nutral?

I think he means the beep noise. If I am not mistaken if your nutral switch was bad it would still beep If the switch is open or closed it will make a beep. but I can allways be wrong and if I am someone will correct me. ps. please proof read slowly so we can understand what you mean. I have the same problem I have to go behind my self so others have a better chance of understanding what I am talking about. That is one of my weak points. :cheers:

The message is "4" beeps to tell you it is in gear. It must beep 2 times to tell you it is in neutral and all is ready to start. The MPEM controls all the electrical. Are you sure you checked all the fuses. Did you just buy the seadoo? I'm just wondering what the back ground is so I can help get it running for you. If you have had if for a while how did it run last time you ran it? If it isn't beeping at all it must have an electric problem. What does it do if you put it in gear and attach the DESS lanyard...it should beep 4 times...You should get some response. Do you have another seadoo available to use the lanyard off that seadoo to see if it responds? It should beep once if it is the wrong DESS lanyard. You said the Dess Post is good, and the battery is good. What have you done to check to be sure this is so?
Let me know some background and I'm sure we'll get it running.

Karl[/QU im the only owner since 2004 got it new there is power for the stereo there is power for the blower ligth works there is no beep at all when i put the key. i used a volt meter to see if those things were ok. baterry is new i check the fuses all the fuses in the reley start and three more where kill swith for the battery the ones beging the seat and the ones in the front where the stereo is. last time run good i started last tusday and thursday did not. now, when on thursday i puted the key, beep realy soft and thats it. im jumped start the reley start and the engine turn like to start. i hope this hepl to you guy to help me thaks for your time

ok ...lets see, is it possible it just isn't beeping...when you hit the starter it won't turn over? You are sure the ground- is very clean and good connection near starter on the engine. You jumped the starter solenoid relay and it turned over you said. You also say it has power to the stereo and guages. If so it must be getting a good connection. Can you check the lanyard and the start /stop switch to be sure it is ok? Use a Multi meter to do the following checks.

Engine start/stop switch verification;
Disconnect the Yellow/Red wire of the start/stop switch. Using an ohmmeter, connect test probes to the Yellow/Red wire and to ground. Measure resistance, it must be an open circuit (switch is normally open). Depress and hold switch, the ohmmeter should read close to “0” ohm.

Safety Lanyard Switch Verification;
If 2 short beeps are not heard when installing the safety lanyard, disconnect the switch wires.
Safety lanyard removed;
connect the test probes to switch Black and Black/Yellow wires. It’s an open circuit, there should be no continuity.
Connect one test probe to the White/Gray wire and the other test probe to the switch terminal. Measure resistance, it should be “0” ohm. Connect one test probe to the Black wire and the other test probe to the switch ring. Measure resistance, it must be close to “0” ohm.
Safety lanyard on switch; connect the probes to switch Black and Black /Yellow wires. Measure resistance, it must be “0” ohm.
Timer Verification;
The timer is integrated into the MPEM. Always confirm that the fuses are in good condition. To confirm operation of timer, remove the safety lanyard from switch. After 5 seconds delay, depress start/stop button once. The timer should stay on for 33 seconds (for example, the gauge(s) will be activated) and than turn off.
The lanyard and DESS cap is cleaned with soap and water.
We will do process of eliminiation till we find the problem.

Let know how you do and if it checks out ok.

Karl

no beeps...

Does it still turn over? If so probabaly your beeper is bad. If no turning over try washing the lanyard and post with soapy water to clean it first. Make sure your battery and all connections are good and fully charged. Let us all know how you went here.
