Key has to be in sweet spot?

Hey again,

Took the boat out yesterday. Everything was great until I was about to leave the spot I had been chilling at. I was untied and when I attempted to start the boat nothing happened. The battery had been on but nothing was running at all. I checked to see if the fan would run and it did and I also made sure the gate was in neutral. After slightly freaking out and taking the key off and placing it back it started just fine. The same thing happened once I got to the dock.

Mainly does the key have to be in the perfect spot for it to start or is there something more I need to check. Thanks.

It does need to be very square to the DESS.

Same thing happened to me the first time I took my boat out I was freaking out, but it's correct what castlejoe said I learned that the hard way just like you lol

Ok good. It sounds like I may just need the check and make sure the key isn't super dirty. I've only had it for a few weeks now and I hadn't experienced this yet but I will be more thorough. Thanks for the info!

At least you were smarter than me about it! Took me 2 hours of drifting and scratching my head before I figured it out the first time haha.
