'02 GTX DI only builds about 40psi of air needs 80 it says. Took the comp. apart 2x nothing to see as a problem. Oring looks good around sleeve. Did notice some gas in cyl. why? Put 80psi to the fuel rail and runs beautifully so I'm thinking this is my problem. So what am I missing about not enough air pres.?

Did you look closely at the air compressor reeds? Is the o-ring seated correctly before you bolt the head on? The service manual has a good section on the compressor - check it out.
