Just checking in after an uneventful summer

So it has been a coronavirus year. I didn’t use my Sea-Doo GTI as much as I hoped for because our beaches were not really COVID monitored and I stayed as far away from them (we all saw the parties on different medias). Note: I have my personal small beach for myself.

As a result, I only put 30 hours on my Doo this summer with brand new plugs and oil and filter change from last October. Manual specifies oil change every year or 100 hours but really, oil was OK, a bit browner but very clear. Plugs were perfect as well so I didn’t change the oil. Added about 4 ounces of coolant liquid (just as last year), added a few ounces of oil (I think I didn’t put enough last fall but it was still within range). No oil or any other liquid whatsoever in the hull (only my usual 2-3 ounces of water). Connected the CanDoo, everything OK.

I winterized the Doo (the whole procedure from service manual except for the oil change), charged the battery and stored it in my heated garage.

I really felt that an oil change was unnecessary.

As for my old GTI 2003 2-stroke, did the usual thing.

Hope I did the right thing.

As I said, it was an uneventful summer except for that bug that a Sea-Doo can’t catch! But I had my friend’s daughters doing a little stunt for me!
