Hey guys,
I'm new to the game and to jetskiing. Ive always loved riding them, but could never afford one. I'm 21, Ive been savin my money for a long time, and I bought one. I'm very hands on and will always do everything myself without going to a dealer.

That being said, I've done some reading on the forum. I bought a used 2006 RXP supercharged, took it out today and couldnt stop smiling from ear to ear. I bought it, took it out ran it to make sure everything was good..and it was..and now I am starting to get into the good stuff. So i have some questions..

Whats the best oil to run in these? What brand and weight?
Any best performing coolant?
Reccommended/special sparkplugs? What works the best?
Whats the best procedure for after I run it? Cleaning, maint..etc
Is there a service manual anywhere online? I saw the section of the forum, but server wont let me access it.
What is the procedure for winterizing?
Ceramic washers for the supercharger, how can I tell if this has been done already?

I've done some research, so all those questions never turned up good answers.

And any other general info you guys would like to pass along. I've been into 4wheelers and mudtrucks for a long time, but im new to the water game.

THANKS GUYS!

First off there is ONLY ONE type of oil you can use in there and it is Seadoo Brand XPS mineral oil. Everything else will cause your supercharger washers to fail if they are still the original ceramic washers. So for peice of mind I would use that oil and only that oil until you are 100% certain the washers have been changed.

Now that I have answered the most important question I will try and help with the rest.

Regular engine coolant will do, I have never tried anything else and I have tons of hours on my rxp without any issues....long periods of use too and it never runs hot.

Can't comment on the plugs, I have mine dealer serived due to warranty requirements so whatever they use works for me.

Are you running in fresh water? If so there ins't really much you need to do. Spray down metal parts with silicone lube every once in a while and ensure you lubricate the throttle body.

To get access to the manual section you have to be a premium member...not sure of the price though. I have a 2007, the file is too large for me to send vie email or I would.

Do a forum search for winterizing and you will get tons of hits.

You won't know if the washers have been done without:
a)asking the pervious owners
b)taking out the charger and proceeding to take it apart.

Hope that helped!

Matt

yeah def thanks alot matt! i sent an email to the previous owner, i really hope he already changed everytihng out in the supercharger. thanks for the help!
