Hello - I am new to the world of boating and just purchased a 2001 Islandia with the 240 EFI.
When we first put it in the water, it ran fine with no issues. The second time we ran it, it seems it is bogged down and won't get to plane - when I run it up to 5000 RPM, it the tachometer takes off goes up to 7000 rpm quickly and I throttle it back.
The other day, I took it out and it was running fine - on plane at 4000 RPM and then it went back to doing the same stuff.
any ideas would be great. if feels like there is an obstruction, but I checked and it is all clear...
