Hello all,
Just bought a nice 2006 Sportster 215HP. Very excited to get her going. But i have a bunch of questions:
1) I got home and tried to remove the grate to clear out seaweed. I broke the front bolt clean off! Turns out the forward bolt on the grate is held in place with a nut in the hull that is totally unserviceable! I found an amazing YouTube video from another guy that did the EXACT same thing. What a P.I.A. so i have a day's work ahead of me to drill out the bolt and figure something else out. Anyone else have this issue? If so how did you deal? I cannot believe they made a grate that is not easily removed!!!
2) Does anyone have a link to a simple LED trailer light kit that definitely fits in the stock tail light locations?
3) Can anyone recommend a winter cover that will work for our cold, harsh Northeast winters? Or should i pay to shrink wrap (or figure out shrink wrapping myself)?
Thanks in advance.
