Got a new to me boat. SeaDoo 1999 challenger and to say the least it had/has some issues. I had it in 2 different places and asked them to go over it and fix anything wrong. I didn't even check the impeller when I bought it but just assumed they would need to be replaced.

Well got it out on the water and bad acceleration(assumed this since I had not pulled the jets yet.) Bad surging 1 engine. Hard restarts in the other engine.

Well, do to all the posts here I was able to diagnose the surging and fix it(Raves were horrible). Still working on a few of the other small issues(leaking needle valve in the carb). But with out this resource, I would be lost with this older boat.

So from Me.....

Thanks!

I completely agree. I have a 97 1800 that would still be sitting in my garage if it weren't for this site. Racer hooked me up with knowledge last year and the boat has been running great. I still look at the threads almost daily for tips and advice on things that could go wrong.

Here's a pic from Memorial Day.

Why does this picture keep uploading upside down!?image.jpg
