Just a Newby with a Bombadier GT yr?

Just bought a Seadoo that a shade tree mechanic rebuilt, it's a yellow engine with dual carbs and a bad starter (high ohms). http://www.seadooforum.com/images/smilies/new/hurray.gif
She's got a blue front storage and 2 person seat cover but don't know the year? The tag on the back says Bombadier Co. 1988, 5810.
Is there a VIN number located somewhere?
It has only a fuel guage with reverse handle (which seems froze?), safety lanyard sw, starter sw and fuel valve knob, handlebars have throttle lever on starboard (right) and kill button on port (left).

The skis/boats have a HIN instead of a VIN. HIN (hull identification number).

To find out your year model, look on the back, lower right hand side. You should see a series of numbers. This is the HIN. Look at the last two digits. This is your year model.............:cheers:

hey thanks for the HIN education and location.

BTW This unit needs a starter (587 dual carb) Is it possible to replace the starter taking off the exhaust manifold water jacket?
