I had the same problem with my 5 amp fuse blowing constantly when i smacked into a nice wave on the surf. I proceeded by putting a 10 amp and it blew then I went ahead and put a 30 amp in the 5 amp spot. The fuse got really hot so i pulled it out and now none of the electrical components work, not to mention I put a fuse in there and it doesnt blow anymore. The batter works fine and all the mechanical parts on the ski are in working order. Could this have to do with the MPM or putting a bigger fuse in there shorted out something farther down the electrical line?

I'm sure you over loaded the fuse and fried out your electrical components. That's why you need to only replace the fuse with the correct one. Chances are your mpem is bad too as it controls all the electrical components.

time and time again I see this a fuse blows, they install another that blows again and again, so they install a larger one it either works or does the same then they install another even larger one hey it quit blowing...well of course it did, now that the fuse is higher amps then other parts in the system, so instead of the fuse blowing now you are making things short out/burn up, I talk till I am blue in the face and can tell people do not ever put a larger fuse in, yet it still happens and some times you only get smoke other times you can start a fire, what if you would have had the fuses on hand out in the water put that 30 amp in and then started a fire while you where not even close to shore? you would have been swimming home, and hopefully made it...please do not ever install larger fuses the specified fuse size is in there for a reason.

:stupid:

Not to mention if you would not have put a larger fuse in there I could have repaired your unit for a fraction of the cost you will now incur (Your mpem is now nothing but a $300-$1200 doorstop) depending on what model of ski you have,.....

anyone else reading this, this is a common problem with sea doos that I can repair as long as YOU DO NOT PUT A LARGER FUSE IN THERE!!!!!!

save your self time and money do not think you are going to get it to work with a larger fuse, thats just plain...well..stupid.....it does not matter (except in your case) whether it is the mpem or something else, no matter waht is is even a car, I do not care, do not put in a larger fuse.....this is common practice.........just like gee my brake fluid is getting very low I better put some in so I am safe...people make me laugh it is low because the fluid went somewhere whether the brakes are just low or because the system has a leak thats why the fluid is low............same for this the fuse blew because something was wrong.........and now personally you blew it, because now it really will have issues...hopefully after this it will be learned if you didnt know and will not do it again so it will save you money......good luck

Mpem

Thanks for the heads up, as I'm a new user and was just trying to kill myself, since that's so fun and all.

Thankfully I have two of the exact same models and just replaced it with my other one and it started right up... guess I just need to go buy a replacement. Glad I didn't break anything else.

Thanks
