Jet Pump Rebuild Question

Rebuilding jet pump including new impeller shaft. I have purchased most of my stuff in past from SeaDoo Warehouse since it is connected to this site, another way to support this helpful site. The price for new shaft there is $133 while price from SBT is $79. Part # is same so I assume the shaft is the shaft regardless of where you purchase it from. But $53 seems like a big difference.

Is there any difference in the shaft, or is it simply different companies with different pricing? As long as I am replacing it I want it to be quality but if it is the exact same shaft, which I think it probably is, I'd like to save the $53. Any opinions out there???
Thanks!

I am sure the sbt ones is aftermarket and doo warehouse is oem. If the sbt one is the same quality have to wait for other people to chime in.

Aftermarket isn't always equal quality as OEM, sometimes they're even better and of course might not be up to par, depending.

I'm pretty sure my original shaft is stainless steel b/c I don't see any rust but honestly I haven't confirmed this.

I would do a little research,,, If it is in fact aftermarket, I'd not buy it. The new and or updated OEM are designed better than the original OEM. More often than not, aftermarket as not as good in regards to "quality built"...

Thanks for the thoughts fellas. OEM it is! Some parts are more crucial than others and it seems to me that a quality pump rebuild probably means better days on the water!!!
