i have a 2005 sportster. Just got a new pump and impeller. Iv got it all together, but in my shop manual it just says fill to the bottom of the threads. Doest give you an amount or if the pump should be standing up or laying on side.

Need a little direction. Thanks

It should be sitting as it would be when installed on the watercraft.
