jet pump oil

Hi guys,

I have a 96 GTI. What kind of jet pump oil are you guys using. Seems like I remember reading guys putting in synthetic gear oil they got from the local auto parts store. Any posts would be appreciated.

A lot of people use Mobil 1 synthetic gear oil with good success. I use Klotz JetPump oil because it can handle some water unlike the Mobil 1.

Personally I use a different industrial style oil that Dale’s Jet Sports in TX recommended to me. Said they use it in all of their jet pumps and said it seems to work better than your typical synthetic automotive gear oil. I’ll see if I can find the name of it again, don’t have the bottle with me.
Edit: I use Royal Purple Synfilm. Small 2oz bottle is part # 02514, however I bought a quart size bottle from Dale's.
