Jet Boat

I am a Paramedic. I had a nurse who knows I have, Sea Doo Jet skis come up to me. She said her single engine jet boat is for sale. No year or engine told to me. Then they then get a Full Arrest Patient come in. I could not ask any questions after that. I wonder what I should look for on a boat? Price range? Defects? Common problems? I have 2 stroke problems down. I just wonder the boat problems I can run into. I want to low ball her because, most people would not touch it.

hey,can't help u with out more info but in general u wanna check the basics.. compression etc..... engine wise, I'm not a fan of single engine boats i got a double u will here some people say twice the maintenance:facepalm: i say twice the power and fun:cheers: upholstery is a major thing unlike skies where u can just get a replacment seat for 100 bucks it'll cost a nice amount on a boat ,electric stuff isn't a big deal stereo,(if it has),gauges,lights..... but it will tell u the over all condition the boat was kept in check the gel coat and the pumps I'm in ny so i wouldn't take a 2 stroke on the water now but its up to u to water test it, ask her why she's selling also.... keep us posted and some pics would be nice good luck!!:thumbsup::thumbsup:

She got married late in life. Owned the boat since new. They bought motorcycles and that's what they do instead of the boat. Do believe it's garage kept. Just wondered if the power trim is very important with the boats? Just general things: like where hull cracks screw you? I will get a good look at it this week. May even get one of my kids to buy it. Let Dad fix it. I like that stuff! They buy parts and supplies I wrench. Bring great $ beer payment.

ps. try to get it done b4 it gets to cold i don't like to start engines in my garage and 2 strokes can be hard to start in the cold without starting fluid
