Hi everyone,

Finally picked up a 2011 Seadoo Challenger 210SP. The stock stereo, Jensen MSR2107 is only working on one speaker and intermittently on the rest. If I lightly push down on the top Jensen amplifier then some of the speakers start working again. Tried wiggling the connections and no change.

Anyone ever take the amp apart? Appears like it might unscrew.

Also wondering if someone upgraded and wants to sell their old amp or system? Hoping to keep the rear controller.

Thanks a lot,

G

Common problem with this Jensen setup. Search in the forum & you will find a few threads. I bypassed mine & am running a small aftermarket amp now. I left the stock harness & “amp” in there because that is the radio & the dash panel is just a display & control module & I am not in a position to replace it with a new unit yet. I’ll try to remember to take some pics next time I take the cover off.

I have the same boat, just love it. I have the same issue with the stereo and from my research the problem is in the main amp unit. the chips need to be re-soldered on the board as they come loose. that's why pushing on the top sometime reconnects them. A good electronics shop may be able to fix the unit for you. I did not get mine fixed as I was able to locate one on line that someone had replaced in their boat. but another fix would be to get an amp and re route your speakers through that and you can improve the over all system.

Thanks everyone. I took the amp apart and found that is you wiggle the plug where the speaker wire clip into the circuit board, the speakers would intermittently work.

I decided to order a new clarion system with the rear controller that should fit. Decided a spent enough on the boat I might as well get a decent head unit with good Bluetooth.

I may have take the old Jensen system to a local electronics repair to see if it will be cheap to fix. Might put it in my fishing boat.

thanks guys!
