Its been a long time coming..brand new BETTER THAN OEM power and ground cables!

Just like many threads on here...I've ran into many machines with rotten power and ground wires. They can cause all sorts of electrical gremlins we all hate dealing with. I decided it was time to build them. Now if you know me, I'm not one to go the cheapest route, so I sourced out materials that are BETTER THAN OEM. Seadoo didn't use marine grade cable...I did. Seadoo didn't put wire protection from end to end on all 3 cables...I did. Also, I sourced out marine grade tinned copper lugs that fit the small holes on the e boxes! It was a lot of work to find the correct ones. I am also using marine grade shrink wrap.


Prices vary depending on the machine they are going on...but for example, a 1996 XP (X-4 800) will be $100 shipped in the US for the set of three. I can make them in any length, any style, for any machine. These are put together in house! :thumbsup:

I can vouch for these as I have a set installed on '95 XP800 #1 and they fixed all of my random electrical gremlins throughout the ski. As a bonus they look awesome as well. I will be ordering a few more sets for other skis as needed. Anyone restoring a ski should start with these cables.

Thanks bud!!! Yeah I was so sick of wondering if my cables were the source of starter issues...that and I actually snapped the cable off my starter at one point in time jumping that I really wanted solid cables. I know $100 sounds steep but sourcing everything out and an hour of assembly time...Its going to cost you alot more than that.

How much for the 1997+ XP's? They seem to have more cable issues than any other, probably because they are so long.

Just pressed...I will look into soldering them as well this year.

I was going to make some for myself my idea on soldering them was to get thin electronic solder wrap a few strands around the wire stick it all into the lug and heat the lug with a micro torch. Then pull heatshrink over and seal.

Yeah they make solder pellets specifically for this purpose. I assume you put them upright in a vise, get them hot and melt them then jam the wire in.

Yep, those pellets work better than any solder for electrical connections I have ever dealt with.

Just ordered a set of these for my 99 GTX RFI as I literally had three ends break off. Plus 2 cables had deep cuts in them and corroded, who knows why but they look awful. And with power to these RFI's being so important, I think it's a good investment. Thanks Nick!

Spring bump....Just made up a set for a customer and tried the solder slugs and I gotta say they are slick!!! I also crimped them after soldering them and added the red OEM covers to protect from shorting.

You got that right....damn you catching the edit! LOL After writing that, .30 ea for a total of 1.80 isnt alot to add that much more protection.
