Hi all,

I am new to this forum, and recently purchased a 2002 Islandia jetboat... anyway, last season, when I took it out on the water, within a few minutes at near idle speed, an alarm sounded with 3 successive beeps, and then stopped for a few minutes, and then made the sounds again; once I opened it up, it got up to about 30 knots when it lost power and a continuous alarm noise sounded- the alarm did not stop until we had it in neutral, when it reverted back to the 3 beep alarm every few minutes.

I assumed there was something blocking the impeller, so, when I brought it to a repair facility to have it winterized, they took a look and said there was nothing that they could see that was wrong with it. I dropped it in the water yesterday and same problem???????

Anyone know what this could be?

Thanks.

Same problem, same boat

I have a 2003 islandia. Same problem, the 3 beeping sounds lets you know that your oil level is low. It sounds every 2 minutes. There may be a light on your gas gauge that will also go on. When this alarm goes off, add oil to both your main oil reservoir and to the engine mounted reservoir.
My boat has the same problem, except when I added the oil, the alarm didn't stop beeping and I lost all but about 8mph on my engine. Needless to say, its in the shop now, so we'll see what happened.

For both you members...3 beeps means low oil...contunious beeps ...means over heating condition...not a good sound. It could get expensive too, depending on the severity of the problem.
