Our islandia beep time to time, more or less. Offen when accelerating or pushing for top speed. Top speed is around 40-42 mph, thought it would be some more?

Its seems like the most of the beeps its for high rpms. The rpm gauge is not working for the moment so cant tell in what rpm the beeps comes in...
The former owner tells that the boat has a brand new solas impeller 22/39. thought it would be quicker into plane but offen i cant hold full throttle when acceleration, then the engine beeps, probably for high rpms...
hmm...its like the power is the but ....yeah..heavy boat I know, but anyway...
2-3 pers going the rpm out to enginge beeps all the time...top speed 40-42 mph.
something to look at och check?

Depending if the top is up or down... and how many people are on the boat... 40~42 mph is normal. If the top is down, and you only have 1 or 2 people on board... you should see upper 40's. I can hit 48 mph if I'm the only person on the boat, and my top is down.


If it's taking a long time to get on step... then the clearance in the pump may be high. Check the pump for damage.

The beeping can be a bunch of things. BUT... if it's a steady beep... that's over temp. (too hot) Make sure the cooling lines are clear, and that the water is flowing out the bypass fitting.

40-42 mph with 2 person. 37-40 mph with 4-7 adults...
It's just in the summer season here in Sweden so not fun to chech impeller. But I hope it's good, it's brand new ...hmm...
What about the ride plate adjustment. My plate is up to the hull, not adjusted down...that's a adjustment I can do whenever....
How much is a good adjustment?

The top is much up!! More or less all time

The adjustment on the ride plate is whatever it needs to be. If you lower the plate... it will push the nose into the water. It can help get on step faster... but may cause the boat to "bounce" up and down at higher speeds. If it rides good at speed... I wouldn't touch it.

The impeller may be new... but if the housing around it is warn... you won't develop as much thrust.

I have now talk to the former owner and he says both the impeller and all theimpeller house is new, because he had wreck a bolt in it earlier...so it all would be good.
anyway the nose is upp cruising, feels like im sitting to low and cant see water or direction in front.
Its the first hull design and 250dfi engine...
thinking anyway of adjusting ride plate..

What happens if the wear ring is missing , maybe the former owner just mounted the new impeller house and the new solas impeller without a wear ring? Can the boat go forward and gain thrust ? Se obove for my max speed ....it's easy to hit over revs beeps, and the top speed is just 40-42 with 1-2 person in it...and it take long time to plane....

or isnt there any wear ring as in rotax engines? then it should be good , the house is new and impeller..

The housing is the "Ring". There isn't a separate wear ring as with the PWC.
