Welcome.... but you kind of said the same thing in a thread in the Merc section.
There's nothing to "Pursue." You are looking at +10 year old engines, and are 2-strokes, in a harsh environment. They are out of warranty, not to mention they run high RPM's most of their life.
The expected life is anywhere from 100 to 500 Hrs. (depending on use)
The only thing you could chase would be the poor oil gear design. It's a known issue, and a $30 gear will quickly take out a $4k engine. But... since my engine didn't fail because of the oil gear... I can't be part if that.
