Had my 98 Challenger 1800 out this weekend. About one time every outing after I just started the first engine, I go to start the second engine and the first engine stalls.

We also did some tubing with the boat I kept the tubing runs short, maybe a minute or two long before switching riders. When starting up for the last rider before heading back to the dock, the engines seemed very slow to turn over. I first thought that I was just draining my battery with all of the starts and short running time but it was charged up. I used an electronic battery tester so the CCA value was good as well as the charge.

Other than that the boat started up and ran fine all day. I just want to make sure that I do not have a problem developing.

Thanks

I looked over my connections today and found out that I had never hooked up the starter ground wire from the port side engine. I have been only connecting the negative cable from the star-board side engine. The second ground cable had been sitting under the star-board side engine the whole time I had the boat so I never saw it. I am sure that will a big difference the next time I am out on the water.
