is this hole supposed to be there ?

Hey Guys,

Hope this is in the right section of the forum, if not my apologies !

From the other side of the pond here in the UK and am hoping to pick up my new (to me) boat this weekend :thumbsup:


Its a 2008 (1st sale 2009) utopia 205 with the twin 155's (310hp), really clean from what I can see....almost OCD ! which is fine by me....guy made me take shoes off when climbing onto the deck to have a look !

So anyway I have a question, please remember this boating is all new to me....but what is this hole and is it supposed to be there ?? of course I'm thinking of some kind of drainage follow through hole or something ?? I just want to make sure it's not damage !! any help greatly appreciated

Looks like a bullet hole to me. lol Just drainage into the bilge.

That looks like fore side of the ski locker and yes the hole should be there. You want to make sure water moves from fore to aft into the bilge.

Same as my Utopia, but I store my anchor in that locker, so it is NOT as clean as that one!

It's to drain the ski-locker and passes to the bilge. I have the same boat here in Germany and as far as I know there are only a couple of them running in Europe.
