Maybe there's a set screw I'm missing or do I need a puller to pull off this job ? (pun intended)

I've actually never ever tried to remove a steering wheel off of anything so i'm completely dumb here, then a rainstorm came in hard and fast while I stood there staring at it yesterday so I called it quits but I want to get the dam thing off tonight.

I must be missing something.

I had to remove the steering wheel on my Challenger last year. I had my son grab the steering wheel and firmly pull on it while I tapped the shaft with a hammer in the center of the wheel. It came out on the second tap. I placed a small block of wood on the shaft to protect the shaft/threads.

ok cool, I did a little poking around and it looks like autozone has a free rental on a puller as well, that way I don't have to wait for the better half to get home. I'll give it a shot.

edit: jesus... that was EASY.

I can now add "steering wheel removal expert" to my resume :)
