Hey guys I have a 97 speedster that I leave covered with a stock seadoo cover. When I uncover it I find mold growing on the seats now. It never happened before, and is becoming a pain. Is it because the cover is leaking? If I buy a new cover will it help?

if you cover has a ton of black spots under it then that certainly doesn`t help...

but to answer your question, I have a brand new cover on ours, in the beginning of the season I had zero spots on the seats.
we moved south where it is hot and we went thru a spell of really humid weather and a lot of rain, well guess what, lots of mildew on the front seats only... and they used to be mint... argh...

so, if you "need a new cover, then replace it with one from Poppy covers, if not then just stay on top of the seats with a good mildew remover...

sucks I know it...

When storing the boat, buy a CHEAP bag of charcoal. I say cheap as you do NOT want it coated. So any kind will work as long as it is not coated..

Place a garbage bag on the deck, place the bag of charcoal on the bag, slice it wide open. So a slice across the top and bottom and a slice in the middle connecting the slices. Like a big letter "I"..

Fold the paper back so the charcoal is exposed.

The charcoal will absorb the moisture instead of your boat.

If you have odor, pour Listerine into a long flat dish like a cooking pan. It keeps things fresh by absorbing odors. I have never used both at the same time so I can not tell you if the charcoal will absorb the Listerine ???
