I have a 96 challenger with a rebuilt motor but has electrical issues and I found a 2006 sporter for sale without a motor, is it possible to put the old motor in the new boat.
thanks
I would fix the electrical issues. The motor swap would be challenging. And besides you can buy a refurb 4-tec 2005 motor with supercharger for about 5k.
Again, anything is possible, but some things are not worthwhile..
4-tec hulls are langer, which will create more drag and resistance. ANd heavier. The technology that goes into the 4-tec motors is designed to compensate for the larger hulls.
IMO, I don't think it would be worth it even if you managed to get the job done.
