Is engine getting oil?

I have a 1994 gtx that I bought used. Bought used and it wouldn't start. Followed advise on the forum and replaced all fuel lines and cleaned out tank and carbs. Runs fine now. My question is how do I know if the engine is getting the oil that it needs? Is there a way to tell if it is getting the right amount? Also, the handle grips are shot. I have been to www.seadoowarehouse.com and they do not list the grips for a 1994 gtx. Does anyone know if the grips from another year gtx will work?
