Just bought a 2012 Challenger 180 and started having problems within the first few times out. Issue is that the instrument cluster will flicker and appear to "reboot" - acts just like when you intitially turn on key. The cluster lights up with all the lights and then goes through to finally display the default screen where it shows depth, fuel level, etc. Have narrowed it to around the 6 wire connector that plugs in to a module that has to do with speed control in forward and reverse. This usually happens when running in somewhat choppy conditions. To replicate while on land I can get it to respond similarly by shaking the wires near that 6-pin connector. Has anyone else had this issue, and if so, what did the issue turn out to be. I'm not sure if it's just a loose fitting connector or is it the module that it plugs in to?

I have an electrical diagram but strangely don't see this part of the harness, nor the module it's plugged in to.

Thanks in advance,

Dave

I have my 08 RXT215 in the shop for cluster coming on intermittently with the key out. Its eating their lunch. One shop put a VR and that didn't help, now the new shop, a Seadoo dealer put a new wiring harness and still having trouble. Now their saying its the ECM Ill find out next week

You have a connection issue. They make a tool that makes it so you can pull the plug all apart. If it were mine, I'd pull them all apart, clean every part, make sure nothing is bent or damaged. Check the connection at the pins. Then put it back together using dielectric grease
