I have a 2006 Challenger 180.
My winterizing has previously been done at our closest reliable dealer 2-1/2 hrs. away. (Awesome service, too far away)
The only part i cannot identify in the procedure is the intercooler and hoses. The factory repair manual I purchased when we bought the boat is ambiguous at best.

Does anyone have a photo?

Intercooler?

First off, do you know where the intercooler is? You need to understand where it is and how to disconnect if, drain it, then fill it with some antifreeze. If you can identify it, the rest should be easy.

The intercooler is inside the air manifold. It's on the opposited side of the air induction and throttle body. If you look on theat backside, you'll see two hoses coming from it, one supplies coolant to, the other is an outlet. When you dsconnect the hoses, let the lower end drain. Gravity will empty it for you. Then, take a small funnel and connec to the lowest hose with a funnel. Start adding a 50/50 solution till it comes from the top hose. You can stop now and drain the residual coolant you just put in it or pinch your hoses and just leave it there. For all intent, you've covered it by adding the coolant. IF you drain it, there will be no water standing in it, so you will be protected from a freeze......

Knowing what the intercooler actually cools is one problem (ie exhaust components, radiator heat transfer).
Knowing where is the exact problem which would get easier if I had a schematic of water flow.
I am assuming it is located inder the engine, in the hull where exterior water (probably passing thru the jet) can run near the intercooler to exchange heat.
When I look in the engine compartment I am guessing at the hose and water "path".
The manual I bought barely mentions the coolant cycle.

Thanks for the directions.
I will follow them to see if I can figure out how the intercooler works.
I would not have guessed the intercooler was in an "air chamber"?
