Hi folks, new to the forum here and have a question.I have a 2000 Mellinium GTX RFI that I am haveing a prob with. When I first unload it off the trailor it will squirt right up out of the water and run fine. After I shut down for a few minutes and fire back up it will not turn over 4300 rpm's for about 15-20 seconds and then run fine. I took it to a dealer and had them read the codes beacuse the maintemance light would not clear and it came back that the intake pressure was above the upper limit. Has any body else here had this prob with a 2000 GTX ? If so did replaceing the sensor fix the problem? I don't want to dump $$$ into this if there may be another prob besides the sensor being bad.

Order the sensor from another ski shop, not the one that knows your ski. Try it and see if it works. You will have to put it in yourself. If it does not work, return it and tell them it was the wrong part and you didnt use it, just unwrapped it to see if it ws the right part. At worst you will have to pay a 10% stocking fee.

is the part really that expensive?

Well due to a back problem and other things going on I am gonna have to pay the $145/hr labor/part cost with mark/up and a 1 hour drive one way to have it done. Just trying to get it running right for my daughter and thought some one else here may have some trouble shooting tips they could offer that my neighbor and I could try before takeing it to the shop.

The seadoo shop is the only avenue to get the codes from the ECM,( Electronic Control Module). If there is more than 1 code it won't show up till the first one is repaired. Then the second code will appear. The dealer has to clear the code sometimes also after the repair is complete. The seadoo dealer uses B.U.D.S.,( Bombardier Utility Diagnostic System) to display the code.

Keep us posted on your progress.
