Intake Grates for Seadoo GTS

What is the general opinion of replacing a stock OEM intake grate with a Solas Intake Grate? I have read that it will improve efficiency and reduce cavitation. If a Solas Intake Grate is recommended, does it also require replacing the impeller and/or changing the pitch? I don't want to get to crazy with my 1995 GTS, just looking for a little better performance when towing kids on a tube.

The grate will do nothing for pulling a tube...the impeller will either give you top end or bottom end. If you gain on the bottom you loose on the top end. and vise versa.
