Intake Grates...do they really help?

I have a 97 GTX and broke the stock intake grate this past weekend.....thanks to a tree stump about 2 inches under the water.

Anyways, I see ads and info on the perfomance grates but are they worth the money?

YES!!!!! Well worth it. You will notice a big gain with a h.p grate. Better handling as well.......

this is what i have on mine......it stopped the heavy cavitation.....especially with 2 ppl on it. kinda a top loader design....
