I have a 2002 Utopia 240EFI.
Currently I have an 11 tine intake grate underneath.
Is there something better I should use? When I bought it used, it had the hydrosurge grate but the hinge snapped off and broke so I put the 11 tine grate on.
Is there a website I can find a replacement hinge for the hydrosurge? I've searched the web and can't find anything.
Should I even try to replace the hydro-surge? I've read some bad things about them?
I was out this weekend in the bay and had to go under the boat twice to clear out seaweed. It was real easy to do, but it looked like what was happening was that seaweed was just collecting over the grate to the point where it eventually covered it. I just pulled it away and then everything was fine.
I don't know if the theory of the hydrosurge is that it won't allow the seaweed to collect?
What's a weed rake? And is there a website I can find one to buy?
