i will be re installing my starboard engine back into my challenger in a couple weeks and was wondering if its any easier to install with the exhaust chamber already bolted up?
i did the port side installation with the pipe off and it was a little tricky to wedge it in afterwards and get it lined up. i figure if i take the air box and spark arrester off the port side there will be room to lower the engine in with the exhaust fully intact...
thanks TIM

Are the wiring and hoses out of the boat? Among other things, You need to hook up oil lines as well as electricity to the starter. Be sure you have a plan for those.

Some guys do it other don't. I'm an other. If you do decide to do it you will need to remove the RV oil line and clamp that on before hand, then re-attach it to the oil line in the boat. You will not be able to install it with the pipe on. I just do it piece by piece. Oh, this is all with the engine lid off. If you don't have that off you're in for a long and painful install.

thanks for the input, i think i will do it piece by piece. looks to be a little easier than the port side was anyways. now just waiting on an engine!!

I have the same boat. As racer stated it is much easier to remove the deck lid to work in the engine compartment. Figured this out after hanging upside down a few times.
