Install a Wear Ring w/o Remove Impeller?

The Impeller from my Boat, broke the Wear Ring in pieces. I clean all inner surface with a screw driver. Question is: Can I put the New Wear Ring back with out removing the Impeller?????

I think it's been done but the impeller tool is cheap and it would be the perfect time to change the oil in the jet pump

It's doable. A pain, but can be done
