Insanty!

That's crazy, it would be like riding a bomb. Now we have to figure out how to do this to a SeaDoo.

Gears are turning... smoke is coming out of my ears!!! One of the problems i see is that propane is heavier than air and in the confined engine compartment.... with combustion taking place... sounds pretty dangerous to me. High octane would allow more power with earlier combustion.... If I'm thinking right anyway... The oil injection would take care of the oil part...

Who cares? It would be one hell of a ride before it blew up. I had an idea to mount JATO packs to the ski, gonna work on it this winter.

Let me start by saying... turbo'ing a 2-stroke is useless as a "Performance" add on. That's why people don't do it. With high pressure on the front side... you mess up the scavenging effect of the tuned pipe. Not to mention... the lower-half of a 2-stroke is already pressurized to force feed the top-half. So... if you force feed it... you could blow that big end of the rod from over pressure, on the down-stroke.

Here's the deal. On Snowmobiles... most of the time, you are running high altitude. So, you are fighting low O2. When they turbocharge them... they are using it to essentially bring the manifold to sea-level. (Not to run the engine "Under boost")

Now... the Propane is interesting... but it makes sense. At high altitude, and very cold temps... it's hard to ignite gasoline. Propane, on the other hand, would be very easy to light.

This combo would make one heck of a wicked high altitude sled... but it would be utterly useless in our PWC.

Hmmm propane a 2 stroke???? But on a 4 stroke it is just like a propane rock buggy. Would be good but no real need. Just my .02.

Not all ski's are ridden at sea level.... But I was refering to the propane and advancing the timing, not the turbo.

The Jato will work.... but you might tend to leave the surface of the water a bit more than just when you hit a wave...

but can i still cook burgers on it?

http://www.boondockers.com/ Apparently us PWC guys are just behind the curve. My boat is going to become a guni-pig this winter rofl...

Ernest

when i was a kid i asked Pa for $5 to go to town and get a gunea pig. he said here's $15, get yourself a nice french girl.

so i did Sis for $5, bought a gunea pig for $5 and pocketed $5. That gunea pig was some good eatin too!

Ernest,

Could Pa use it to heat his still? Pa is always looking of new innovations, you know he's very progressive.
