injector oil

Ok so i just recently (as in 4 days ago) purchased a 1996 GTI. I am brand new to the PWC scene and the one thing I have yet to see a definite answer for is what type of oil should you use in the injection system. Is it just standard synthetic 2 stroke marine oil? I read one post about API-TC standards but there are even a ton of oils that match this standard. At the local parts store they say it uses standard marine 2 stroke oil. Can anyone fill me in on this? maybe some examples of what you guys use? I checked out Amsoil but it looks like the main one I saw was the HP Injector oil which only meets the TC-W3 standard which I have read doesn't meet the needs of the ROTAX engine in these things. Also, what is the benefit of disconnecting the oil injection system? seems like more of a pain to me. anyway Thanks in advance for the help!

Any oil that meets the standards will work.

This is an age old debate and you wont get a definite always right answer!!!!
I have owned skis for 15 + years and I had my own shop. All I ever used was Wal Mart Oil. Standard for older skis and synthetic for the newer ones.

But which standard? the API-TC, API-TC-W3, or the higher england standards? what do you think about the Amsoil HP Injector? I use Ams in my bike so i tend to trust their products. If all else fails there's a walmart across the street :rofl:

BOMBARDIER-ROTAX injection oil but you can use other brands i mean just get it to spec check with a local boat mechanic and see if he recomends anything for you. Look on your Dipstick it may say it there!

This is a 96 GTI we are talking about if I remember its a 657 motor..... Use walmart generic oil and it will be just fine. If you want to you can use the penzoil or even the synthetic but all you need is the walmart cheap $11.00 a gallon brand....
