Hi there,

I have just re-built the Carby's in my 97 Bombardier 787. It is idling fine in the water, but is still bogging down at high revs in the water, but out of the water it is running at FULL revs... I was just wondering if the high speed adjustment might need to be made? If so, what is the average turns out from fully closed on the high speed adjuster? Or is there a factory setting for these Carby's?

p.s. I have read a few threads on the subject but I am not quite sure if I have to do these adjustments with the boat in the water or can these adjustments be done on the trailer?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in Advance

only prod is i,m not that up on the tech speak yet:confused:
im just trying to find out if there is a good starting point for the highspeed
adjustment eg(if 1.1/2 turns from colsed is a good place to start)as i dont want to lean out the moter at high revs whilst trying to get this damn thing to run on the water

I believe that the high is at 0 and the low may be at 1-3/4. I would start with a compresion test on the cylinders and see where they are at before moveing forward.

Turn the high speed screw in all the way and start from there. Most work well with the carb high speed screw all the way in to the stop on that model.
