While installing my new key switch in my 02 Islandia a few weeks ago I broke the plate that goes behind the key and kill switch. I don't see this listed on any of the parts diagrams. Anyone know if it's available and what the part is called? I've searched everywhere for it... Thanks..

Not sure about the part you are asking about. But if it's behind the helm... it may not be a part you can buy. (like a hull part)

But... I was thinking about going fishing tomorrow... so I'll look in my boat.

Dr Honda,

It is the plastic trim that is on the front of the helm. The key switch as well as the kill switch mount through it. Thanks...

ok... now I know what you are talking about.

Unfortunately... it's part of the "Fascia Assembly". So, the small gray face plate wasn't available separately. AND... most of the "Hard Parts" for the Islandia hulls were discontinued long ago.

With that said... mine was crushed to death also. I carefully pulled up all the parts, and then reassembled it using thin 3M body trim tape. (1/16" thick foam tape) The original tape was thin, and that allowed the center to flex in... and after +10 years... the plastic just gave out.

While my method isn't the prettiest fix... it is very functional, and it's held up well over the last 3 years.

I'll get a couple pics today.

If you have the seadoo part numbers you can have a dealer do a dealer search for the part. So it could be someone has one new on their shelf.

The issue is... he wants a small plastic part, that wasn't sold by itself. SO... to fix a cosmetic thing, would require him to buy the entire dash panel. (Probably a few hundred $$)
