In Sea-Water Flushing Idea?

Hi,

I have a 720 and a 657. Here’s my idea:

I will create a shutoff valve between the hose that is sucking in seawater. Then, I will have a normal T setup to the hose connection. As long as the shutoff is on, I should be able to flush while in the water, correct?

Usually, I can take the ski out, but not always due to the tides, and then I have work the next day. So, it might be in the water for three days. (I have a dock.) Normal salt rinsing in the engine bay will occur, and apparently, Salt-Away is 100% non-hazardous, so I shouldn’t be harming the environment.

The risk I’m taking is that the impeller shaft may corrode over time. I plan on adding a zinc, but I know it probably won’t help much. Maybe I will just try to pull it from the rear of my dock.

Any thoughts? Thanks for your time.

WHOOPS Wrong Section sorry guys! Going to repost over there.
