impeller socket tool alternative?

Hi all,

I am thinking about taking apart my jet drive and was looking at getting the impeller tool at my local store here. their price is $120 CAD. I looked on line and it doesn't look like I can get it cheaper with shipping and duty etc...

My question, Is there an alternative? is there anything special about this other than the size?

You can use a junk driveshaft. Heat and bend to make a wrench.
