Impeller removal-

Is there a special tool needed to remove the impeller from a 2001 islandia? I have everything aft of the wear ring removed but am having trouble getting the impeller off. have some bearing pullers but can't get them to grip in order to pop off impeller. Please Help!!! Thnaks.

Impeller removal tool?

Yes, your impeller is threaded onto the impeller shaft. You have to have an impeller removal tool to get it loose. It should also have a Loctite bond that will have to be broken by adding a bit of heat to the center part of the impeller (only momentary, you don't want to melt anything).
