I have a 2009 challenger 180se 255hp, if anyone knows, I just want to make sure the impeller tool for my boat is part# 529 035 956.

i only have 2006 manual, its the same # .
try ebay seach for Impeller Removal Tool WR012
i think its same as mine 159mm pump.

you need to find out what your pump size is....

Why would you need to know the pump size if you want to remove an impeller from a jet pump? Only if you are replacing the impeller or the wear ring do you need to know your pump size and in Sea-Doo Mike's case it is a 159mm. Now for the tools to remove the impeller. The Duralast 3 pc. Hex Bit Set- Metric was purchased at Advance Auto Discount for $12.95 plus tax. You only happen to need the 1/2 inch -12mm in this case. The impeller tool cost $34.95 with free shipping from a host of venders on EBAY. That's all the special tools you need to remove and replace the impeller on a Sea-Doo jet pump.

the question was for this part #. so i answered it as i knew!
the next question was for verification.......

as far i am aware the tool matches to the pump size but i dont know if they all fit or not. (wr011 wro12 etc)

my tool came with my impeller!! that's why you need the pump size. if just the tool, you still need to know pump size.....

OK Pete, I didn't know that and thanks for the explanation.

On the spline tool I bought they give you the part number and say SD (Sea-Doo) 215 255 and 260) HP which can only mean a 159 mm pump. All I know is that the parts I show in the pictures on post #5 worked for my Sea-Doo 215 HP because I used them to change to a Solas 14/19, 159 mm impeller.

just for curious readers...

rcguy, looks like in the boats, 215 and up all do use the 159mm.
the 155 hp motors twin and single use a different pump size.

You got it Pete. I posted that Solas website a few weeks back. Tread Title, "Solas Impeller 2006 Sportster 215" dated 4-10-15 post #6. Pete, you also made a few post on that threat. I had a Sportster 150 with a 155 hp motor a few years ago with a 155.5mm pump diameter. Don't know if that uses a different impeller tool. My guess it is the same tool because the drive shaft is probably the same diameter. Can anyone verify that?
