Hey y'all!

First, thanks for the add to the forum! Treasure trove of info here.

So I recently purchased a 2000 Seadoo GTX millennium edition. 200 Hours. Looks like whoever worked on it looked like they knew the usual issues of replacing the grey fuel lines, sealing the oil pump to plate with premix...all that. Looks like it was sitting in a lake for at least a year as there was dry kelp or something all over the ski. Brushed that all off. Inside the engine looks relatively clean and it did not look like water was soaked inside though. Solenoid needed replacement and I pulled out the starter to check the bendix....all good and usual for a 20 year only ski. Engine wouldn't turn manually with spark plugs out, so I first thought siezed...removed the jet pump and low and behold engine turns freely.

After more investigation, I look into the pump and the entire wear ring is SHREDDED into the pump assembly. I had to use the maf blower on a Rambo knife to cut a piece out of the pump and now the impeller can actually turn. Obviously wear ring needs to be removed and replaced. Checked the anti-rattle cone and the oil looks good with no broken pieces inside (stinks like hell though). I tried scraping out whatever semi rust that was inside the gear hole of the impeller and heating it up with the maf blower, looked inside and its already turning red hot, inserted the removal tool and tried unscrewing with a breaker bar....the thing literally snapped my vice.

Is there any other method in removing this impeller? Or has the rust welded together with the shaft and this is a gunner?

Any recommendations are appreciated!View attachment 53294
