This last weekend while having my 1997 Seadoo Speedster a bearing in the impeller assembly decided to fail. It immediately killed the engine. I took the cover off while in the water and water was pouring in from the seal around the drive shaft. I've been looking online and have found some reasonable deals on full impeller assemblies, but I've noticed reviews are hit and miss. Are there any suggestions on brands or places to buy it from? Also, the boot around the shaft is loose (same on the other motor) is this a problem? What should be done to fix the leak from the seal? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
