Impellar

04 speedster 200 cavitates badly. So i replaced the wear rings. No difference. Also after one trip out to the lake it looks like the wear rings need replacing again. I notice that the impellers are pretty dinged up. Could the impellers be the cause of the cavitation and the quick wear in the wear ring?

Yes your impeller condition will have a lot to do with cavitation. If you want a good fix cheap, send them to sbt for their impeller exhange.

Wear rings damage fairly easily. The one concern I have is, I would have thought your impeller would have hit the wear ring on the way in. I am wondering if you lost a bearing as well allowing the shaft to love off center.

Well i decide to send off the impellers to get refinished. should have them back in a week.
Coastie my bearings look fine. I even measured the play in them and i am well within tolerances.
New wear rings are on the way also. so hopefull this will all clear up once i get it back together.
