I'm going to cry.

So... I was making some parts today, and when I went to touch off with my Renishaw probe... I entered -6" in stead of -.6. Yep... it made a 6 inch move and WHAM !!!!! I crushed a $3800 digital probe. :banghead: There goes the profits for the month.

I was physically sick (couldn't eat lunch) making the phone calls to find out what I needed to do to get a new one.

Needless to say, my Mill is dead until the new one gets here.

:(:(:(:(:(

You can see it touching off the head below.

That's a tough break, no pun intended. Seriously it takes a big man to admit it was his fault, it would have been easy to blame the machine or something else. Bad day at black rock.

Dude I know the feeling. Felt like that after piling in a few R/C planes. I smoked a old H9 Aresti 40 with a brand new YS.63 on the first flight. It was awesome for 4 mins lol :banghead:

This isn't even a live and learn kind of experience. It was a simple mistake...

Sorry for your loss, it is very unfortunate.

Hope you get ti somewhat affordable and fast...

Ouch Tony, sorry to hear.

Come on guys, time to step up and help the Doc out. How much time and money has he saved everyone of you !?!?

This is Doc's website.

I expect everyone of you to be ordering an annodized pee hole, to relocate it to the side of your ski so you can easily see that your cooling system is working. Possibly save your engine and help Doc recoup some losses for a mere $10. Order some custom registration number decals too! I got peeholes and decals for both my skis, so get yours NOW.

I said NOW, what are you still reading for damn it get ordering.

Don't beat yourself up over it, sh/t happens. I was working at GM in Janesville,Wis and saw the programer for the robotic welders tell everyone he didn't need to do a slow dry run as it always works. Well, his first run was made at full speed. I've never seen a machine tear itself apart so fast in my life. In the end,4 out of the 5 arms were gone. They now had a 1.8 million piece of junk that was days old.

Ouch. Had a similar scenario today as well. Won't get into details but I will however be ordering pissers for all my skiis this week.

That sucks! I wish we could help!
Well ...I will take a annodized pee hole when you have them( orange?) . Thanks for the help with my boat ,It runs great now! I found out why it would not pull top rpm.......I had crossed the hoses that lead from carb to carb...I put one of them on the wrong nipple! rookie move! and thats not like me! thanks again! let us know what you have for sale! trick parts! we will help out!

Thanks for the condolences guys.

My new probe showed up yesterday... so I will be doing the calibration, and set up today on it, and hopefully get caught up on some stuff I need to get done.

Moto17: Nope... don't have them in Orange. For some reason, my anodizer can't do that color right. I do a lot of parts for KTM bikes... and every time I would get orange parts back... they would be different shades. AND... sometimes, they would come back looking like copper.
