So today i was cleaning my boat, I use purple power, works great 10:1 solution, however I grabed my full strength bottle the stuff works realy good, BUT took the shine off, I realized this after cleaning the engine compartment lid, was trying to figure out why it was working so well, any ideas on what to do to get the shine back..?:stupid:

I do not have a clue to what you may have done. Maybe you can pollish and wax it out good luck. :cheers:

took the clear coat off...

You just took the wax off right down to the gel coat. I would say to use a mild polishing compound followed by a marine wax. Two or three coats will be needed.

k will do any certain brand that is better than others?

I did the same thing with Mean Green. Some stubborn stains with soap and water weren't coming off and I've used Mean Green for everything so figured it would be fine. I used some Meguiar's cleaner wax so far and it's so-so. I need to get back on it with something else but have been too busy swapping engines. I' also interested in the best method and products.
