I am new to Jet skis and I am looking to get the bottom of my 2-2005 skis re-jell coated.I see some guys out ther talking about $300.00 for this .Anyone in Northern Illinois that you can recomend. Also one of the skis 2005 4 tec std clicks 3-4 times before it starts. Can it be a case of battery being low or some relay not engaging?

Thanks in advance

The problem is either a bad wire connection or the battery is low. If the battery was low it wouln'g get more power to turn over so it would seem like a bad connection. Check you battery wire connections and the ground wire to the engine for a dirty, bad connection.

Thanks for the quick response.I will charge the baterry and look for loose connections.I still need some help with someone in Illinois that does jell coat work.It looks that my Sea doo was either hit or droped before I purchased it and they filled the damadged area with car bondo and primed and painted it like a regular car repair .Needless to say it broke loose and I saw a crack on my ski when I lifted it out of the water. There was no fiber glass cloth used at all on the fix .I can fix the body work with cloth and west system but I need someone to jell coat the area.I do not have the equipment for that.At this time I would re-jell the whole bottom of the ski.Any help with a shop in northern Ill will be appreciated

Ok Guys.
I just charged the batterry and checked voltage at 12.45 V DC.It still takes about 5-6 clicks before it engages .It looks that the wholw black box its clicking .any idea which relay it is .I can,t find it on the diagrams that I looked att Babbits parts.Any one can show me a new diagram with the starting relay location on a 2005 4 tec 155 HP.
I have an old charger that has 2 amp and 6 amp charging at 12 volts DC.Which should I use?

Thanks in advance

Dip me in honey also, that was a fast response

This was a fast respons ..Now at what amparage would you charge the battery.2 amp or 6 amp

Thanks again

OK ,I went back out there and found the relay, there are two plugs above the relay that house what it looks as a green fuse and the one on the bottom looks like it is a bit busted.
What size fuse is the green one and are they any spares on the machine?I took that fuse holder # 21 of the module support # 10 and it started right away.

Thanks again
