ignition coil tester

has any one ever used one of these testers? any good for testing seadoo coils?
i am wanting to test my coil out and know that i can ohm test it but also need to test for good spark.
the manual page 271 show how to test for spark using a tester and wondered if the one on ebay would be a good alternative?

This is cheaper and easier, we have one and it works great.

thanks, i have one of those but i need a one that has an adjustable gap to 7 mm to see if it has sufficient spark.
i have spark but need to know why i'm flooding during startup in the water ( almost impossible to start but starts good on trailer) injectors are not leaking as i did the test. so to speak, i need to put it to the test to see if my coil is working as it should and not have weak spark while trying to start in the water. hope this make sense.

i feel like the ignition coil is your problem. you have seemed to go through everything else. i was having a problem similar to yours on my 97 spx. it would ride fine but foul out the spark plugs and wouldnt restart until i put new plugs in. I had a spare coil, i swapped it out, and it ran like a totally different ski. no more fouled plugs or hard restarts

it has to be! i can think of anything else it can be. it got as bad as not starting in the water even after replacing the plugs. after a 20 min rest. i'm glad you got yours sorted though.
