Idle...?

I am trying to set my idle, but don't know what speed to set it at...

I had it so it almost set still in the water when idling, but it would "lope" and I thought it was too low. Now it idles so that it moves forward pretty quickly, but I cannot tell you what rpm it is set at.

How can I figure out the rpms when I adjust the idle?

Scott....I don't think you can use the idle to set still in the water, without a revese gate.....:rofl:
When first setting up your carbs, your suppose to adjust the thumb screw on the MAG carb to barely make contact with the stop plate. Then, turn it in 2 full turns. This is suppose to set it up so that your idling around 3k on land and 1000 to 1500 rpm in the water.
Don't take a 2 cycle below 1k for an extended period of time....not to good for the motor..................:cheers:
